Jak zainstalować Scratch 2 na Ubuntu 16.10. lub 17.04 (64bit)?

Muszę zainstalować Adobe Air na Ubuntu 16.10 / 17.04 z offline Scratch 2. Air jest przez wiele lat nieobsługiwany w Linuksie, więc jest kilka obejść. Jeden, który działał dla mnie do wersji Ubuntu 16.04 (przy użyciu binarnego instalatora Air):

# download Adobe Air installer
$ wget  http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/2.6/AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
# run it
$ sudo chmod +x AdobeAIRInstaller.bin
$ sudo ./AdobeAIRInstaller.bin

ale 16.10 / 17.4 kończy się to błędem instalatora:

Nie można zainstalować Adobe AIR. Narzędzia Debiana do tworzenia pakietów deb (takie jak dpkg-deb lub ar) nie zostały znalezione w systemie.

Co jest oczywiście fałszywy komunikat o błędzie, jak dpkg-debi aroba zainstalowane:

Znalazłem więc inny sposób na zainstalowanie Adobe Air za pomocą pakietu deb (wcześniej nie wiedziałem):

$ wget http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/lin/download/2.6/adobeair.deb
$ sudo dpkg -i adobeair.deb

I voila! Adobe Air jest zainstalowany na Ubuntu 16.10 / 17.04.
Teraz zainstaluj Scratch 2.

# Find the latest Scratch AIR file link from https://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/
$ wget https://scratch.mit.edu/scratchr2/static/sa/Scratch-456.0.1.air
$ sudo Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer ./Scratch-456.0.1.air

Wygląda na to, że nieobsługiwany Adobe Air nie może już grać z nowymi dpkg-debi arjuż.

Wszelkie wskazówki dotyczące offline Scratch 2 na Ubuntu 16.10 / 17.04?

Bawiłem się przez kilka godzin. Najpierw próbowałem prześledzić Adobe Air Application Installeri dowiedzieć się, co dzieje się w środku.

$ sudo strace -s 500 -t -o air_scratch.txt Adobe\ AIR/Versions/1.0/Adobe\ AIR\ Application\ Installer ~/Downloads/Scratch-456.0.1.air 

I znalazłem tę linię:

read(18, "dpkg-deb: error: treewalk root /tmp/FlashTmp.3TWnKI/build/DEBIAN is not a directory\n", 4096) = 84

Wydaje się, że nowy dpkgnie obsługuje linków jak poprzedni. Można to naprawić za pomocą skryptu opakowania umieszczonego np. ~/air/bin/dpkgW PATHzmiennej i zmieniając ją przed uruchomieniem programu Adobe Air Application Installer. Niestety, Scratch nie może zostać zainstalowany bez sudo, a zmiana PATHna sudo nie jest taka łatwa.

Potem znalazłem polskie forum nieszczęśliwych podatników, którzy rozwiązują podobne problemy (potrzebują uruchomić aplikację Air z Ministerstwa Finansów na Debian / Ubuntu): https://forum.dug.net.pl/viewtopic.php?pid = 310108 .

I głęboko w tym forum znalazłem wskazówki, jak uruchomić Scratch 2 na Ubuntu 16.10 / 17.04 (nawet bez adobeair.debinstalacji).

To jest moje ostatnie działające rozwiązanie, przetestowane na czystej instalacji.

I to wszystko. Pierwsze uruchomienie jest trochę dłuższe, ponieważ Air rozpakowuje aplikację Scratch 2 do ~/.appdata/edu.media.mit.Scratch2Editorfolderu.
