Wznowienie ze wstrzymania nie działa w systemie Linux działającym na Dell Inspiron 1018

UPD: Próbowałem zawiesić działanie Linux Mint 17.3 XFCE. Objawy były dokładnie takie same: system się nie obudził.

Biegnę

Zainstalowałem

Gdy żądam zawieszenia systemu, działa: dysk twardy przestaje hałasować, ekran wyłącza się, a wskaźnik zasilania zaczyna powoli stopniowo zanikać, tak jak w systemie Windows. Jednak gdy próbuję wznowić, ekran nie włącza się ponownie. Dysk twardy ponownie się uruchamia, a wskaźnik zasilania wraca do stanu ciągłego włączenia.

Aby to debugować, skopiowałem wersję /var/logprzed zawieszeniem, a następnie zawiesiłem, spróbowałem wznowić, a gdy to się nie udało, zamknąłem maszynę przytrzymując przycisk zasilania przez 5 sekund. Następnie uruchomiłem system na żywo z pamięci USB i skopiowałem zaktualizowaną wersję /var/log. Oto różnica między dwiema wersjami:

Nie widzę w nim niczego podejrzanego, z wyjątkiem tego, że wydaje się, że nie zawiera niczego w CV.

Wiki Gentoo wspomina, że „wyłączenie układu zabezpieczającego w systemie BIOS” może pomóc, ale wydaje mi się, że nie mam w BIOSie żadnego ustawienia mówiącego o „układach zabezpieczających”.

Jaki może być problem i jak mogę go naprawić?
