Zasadniczo, kiedy zaczynam w nowym środowisku, zwykle sprawdzam, gdzie są kopie zapasowe, kiedy została zapełniona ostatnia pełna, kiedy zastosowano ostatnie przywracanie, a także sprawdzam bezpieczeństwo.

Poza powyższymi, czy są inne rzeczy, które powinienem sprawdzić, kiedy zaczynam pracę w nowym środowisku jako priorytet?

Z tego właśnie powodu napisałem darmowy (i open source) sp_Blitz .

Ludzie ciągle podawali mi serwery SQL i mówili: „Jesteś DBA, zarządzasz tym”. Potrzebowałem czegoś, co mogłoby szybko analizować takie rzeczy jak:

  • Bazy danych, których nie utworzono kopii zapasowej ani nie sprawdzono pod kątem uszkodzeń
  • Nieobsługiwane kompilacje programu SQL Server
  • Niebezpieczne flagi śledzenia i ustawienia bazy danych
  • Złe opcje sp_configure

Po prostu uruchom go, nie wymaga żadnych parametrów, a otrzymasz priorytetową kontrolę stanu. Priorytety 1-50 to rzeczy, od których chcesz od razu zacząć korzystać, a priorytet 51+ to rzeczy, na które warto zwrócić uwagę w przyszłości.
